Wirecard has agreed to provide credit card payment acceptance in over 30 countries for TeamViewer, a software company in Germany.
Under the terms of the agreement, Wirecard will act as an acquirer for TeamViewer and handle payment processing and international risk management.
Wirecard will now provide the credit card acceptance, including American Express, JCB, Visa, MasterCard among others, in more than 30 countries.
TeamViewer CEO Andreas König said: "Wirecard is the perfect partner for us, we value the international availability of their payment services. We are therefore well placed to serve customers in Asia, for example. This is a key factor in our global expansion project."
Wirecard head of digital goods Julia Kitzinger said: "We are delighted to support TeamViewer in the technical implementation of internationally recognised payment methods and to be able to offer everything from a single source – from payment acceptance to processing and risk management.
