Wirecard, a German financial services and technology company, has inked an agreement with a UK-based fintech firm Conferma to release new virtual card in Asia Pacific region.

The new multi-currency card, Virtual Supplier Payment Card, will be offered by Wirecard for business travel through Conferma’s integration network.

The Germany-based firm noted that the partnership will help in reaching additional customer base. It will also support travel management firms with reconciliation and data to support their own clients travel programmes.

With the integration of Wirecard’s ‘Virtual Supplier Payment Card into Conferma’s virtual card delivery platform, the latter will be able to extend its reach across the travel industry through the network of travel management companies, global distribution systems and other online booking channels that are already integrated into Conferma’s offering.

Conferma Asia Pacific sales director Darren Blair said: “Wirecard is an innovative and forward thinking leader in payments.

“Together, we have worked to deploy a multi-country and multi-currency tool, and we look forward to powering Wirecard’s virtual card payments and data reconciliation, expanding the solution globally.”
