Ohio-based Franklin University has selected ACI Worldwide, an electronic payment and banking solutions provider, for its online payments services.

The university was looking for a proven payment provider with technology which does not require any extra programming to integrate with its ERP system, while keeping the ownership cost minimum.

Franklin University university information systems director Christine Kurth said: "When we set out to implement the self-service payment option with our Colleague software, we needed a trusted vendor with strong solutions that had a close relationship with Ellucian."

ACI Worldwide senior vice president Eric Labiak said: "Our online payment options will deliver an enhanced payment experience for the school’s continuing education students."

ACI powers electronic payments and banking for over 5,000 financial institutions, retailers, billers and processors globally. ACI software processes $13trn each day in payments and securities transactions for more than 250 global retailers, and 21 of the world’s 25 largest banks.
