GoCoin and enterprise payment platform Ilixium have signed a partnership that will enable the gaming operators to accept cryptocurrencies as an alternative to more costly payment methods.

Under the partnership, both the companies provide a global online payment experience that will reduce cross-border fees and empowers the iGaming sector to quickly adapt to the latest advancements in digital currency payments.

Eric Benz, EMEA director of operations at GoCoin, said: "Gaming operators face constant pressure to reduce their cost per acquisition.

"Offering a low friction, low-cost payment option keeps players in the game, and by partnering with Ilixium, we are helping operators keep more of their profit margin and — in many cases — collect money that would otherwise be left on the proverbial table."

Ian Nicholson, chief commercial officer at Ilixium, said: "Partnering with GoCoin allows Ilixium to stay at the forefront of payment innovations, a competitive advantage we pass on directly to our clients."
