Smart e-Money (SMI), in partnership with Citi Philippines and Visa, has launched Charge2Phone or C2P, a sticker-based Near Field Communication (NFC) payment solution for face-to-face and online transactions, in the Philippines.

The payment technology will enable postpaid subscribers of Smart and Sun to pay for small-ticket items using their smart phones.

The service will be linked to the users’ postpaid account allowing Filipino consumers to use their mobile numbers for online transactions.

The sticker-based C2P will fit the back of one’s mobile handset and will transform the mobile phone into a credit card or a wallet.
