Nigerian Interbank Settlement System (NIBSS) has certified goSwiff, a mobile commerce and marketing services provider, to bring its mPOS platform to Nigerian banks supporting the Nigerian government’s initiative to reduce physical cash circulation in the economy.

The certification will cover both the goSwiff mPOS platform and goSwiff PINPad card reader designed for harsh mobile environments.
goSwiff mPOS will enable merchants in Nigeria to accept card payments in a secure way using mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets with card readers.
mPOS will assist full service agency banking allowing banks to expand into rural areas and providing a platform for other transactions including loans, insurance and other services.
