InComm, a prepaid product and transaction services company, has partnered with digital security firm Gemalto to deliver secure prepaid mobile NFC payments.

The alliance will see InComm using Gemalto’s infrastructure to securely pass prepaid card information from InComm’s platform to the consumer’s NFC-enabled mobile device.

The credential management, which will be powered by Allynis Trusted Services Hub (TSH), will allow consumer to instantly use their prepaid card for mobile payments at participating retailers, the companies said in a press release.

Gemalto president of North America Sebastien Cano said: "The prepaid card market is one of the fastest growing non-cash payments markets with growth expected at an annual rate of 22% through 2017. The combination of our TSH and InComm’s IMP is facilitating the transition of tangible prepaid to mobile payments."

InComm vice president of emerging technology Michael Parlotto said: "Working with Gemalto, InComm now has the ability to offer secure NFC payments through mobile."
