UK payment solutions provider Anderson Zaks
has been awarded a contract by Jockey Club Racecourses to provide
payment card processing services across its 14 UK racecourses.

The services will be based on the
company’s RedCard payment processing software, and will
include management of cardholder details on behalf of Jockey Club
Racecourses. The racecourses include Aintree, Cheltenham,
Epsom Downs and Newmarket.

Adina Ahmed, technical director at Anderson
Zaks, said the cost of maintaining legacy systems which hold card
information in-house is less cost-effective for most merchants
looking to attain PCI DSS compliance. According to recent research
from Aite Group, some vendors are pushing end-to-end encryption
services as a means of helping retailers circumvent PCI DSS rules
(see link below).

“With both Jockey Club Racecourses and Royal
Ascot using our RedCard managed service we are seeing more and more
organisations turn to third parties such as ourselves to manage
their card information and thus conform to PCI standards,” said
Adina Ahmed, technical director at Anderson Zaks added.
