ZipLine, a mobile payment solutions provider, has acquired Florida-based gift card payment platform SmartClixx.
The SmartClixx acquisition is effective immediately. It marks ZipLine’s entry into the gift card market strengthening its existing consumer payments and loyalty services portfolio.
Established in 2001, SmartClixx offers a highly-configurable and customisable software platform that enables gift card issuance as well as customer service refunds and returns.
The platform is utilised by several retail brands such as Chico’s, Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, Belk, and Books-A-Million. It processes more than a billion dollars of stored value card transactions annually through these retail locations.
Commenting on SmartClixx acquisition, ZipLine CEO Stephen Goodrich said: “We’re excited to continue our path of rapid growth and expansion into new markets; acquiring SmartClixx and its experienced team is another step in that direction.
“For two decades SmartClixx has licensed and deployed its robust technology, processing billions of dollars in transactions on behalf of some of the world’s most recognisable brands.
