Mobile payments firm Zapper has collaborated with SalesVu, a provider of self-order kiosks and point-of-sale solutions for iPads, to provide integrated mobile payment solution for restaurants.

Under the deal, restaurants using the SalesVu system will now be able to activate Zapper as an additional payment option for customers.

Through Zapper, a QR code will be displayed on kiosk screens or printed on receipts, allowing customers to use the free Zapper app to scan the code and pay the bill. Once scanned, the diner can easily add a tip or split the bill.

Zapper said that during this process it will capture detailed customer data, offering restaurants with the necessary tools to build a larger and more loyal customer base and create targeted offers and promotions.

Zapper director of partnerships Patrick Wood said: "This partnership will benefit diners by allowing them to pay their bill in seconds, while restaurateurs will gain insight into their customers and be able to use that knowledge to drive increased visit frequency and new customer acquisition through tailored in-app promotions."

"Zapper was designed to build community, drive increased restaurant revenue, and provide a superior customer experience, and this partnership will help more restaurants experience that," Wood added.
