Western Union has teamed up with GraceKennedy Currency Trading Services (GKCTS) to launch the WU GlobalPay for FI platform in Jamaica.

GKCTS operates under the name FX Trader. With the GlobalPay for FI platform, FX Trader gains access to an international payment network with reach in over 200 countries in order to process transactions.

Western Union Business Solutions vice president for the Latin America and Caribbean region Alfred Nader said: “By adopting the WU GlobalPay for FI platform, GraceKennedy Money Services becomes the first financial institution in Jamaica with access to 130 currencies, the ability to process payments 24-hours a day and acquire an important competitive advantage in the financial sector.”

Western Union said that its GlobalPay for FI platform will facilitate creation of international orders and offer access to beneficiary bank data for FX Trader employees.
