WorldRemit, a UK-based online money transfer service, has partnered with financial company Express Union to launch its instant remittance service to Cameroon.

The deal will enable WorldRemit clients to transfer money instantly to be picked up as cash at over 700 Express Union locations.

WorldRemit co-founder and executive director Catherine Wines said: “Adding hundreds of new cash pick up locations to our Cameroon corridor translates into improved service, better choice and more convenience for our customers and their families. According to the World Bank, Cameroon received $244m in remittances in 2015, more than double the amount in 2010.
