Swiss cybersecurity firm WISeKey International has collaborated with Argentina’s National Investment & Trade Promotion Agency to create a Blockchain Center of Excellence in Buenos Aires.

As per the agreement, the Argentine agency will support WISeKey throughout the process to establish the dedicated blockchain centre and secure the investment in Argentina.

The centre will conduct research, pilot prototyping, co-creation of use cases and IP creation on blockchain technology and platforms.

The blockchain centre will recommend a blockchain platform to facilitate enterprises to swiftly adopt and on-board blockchain based solutions and services, the Swiss company said.

WISeKey also entered into strategic partnerships with global enterprises including SAP, MasterCard, Microsoft and CenturyLink to support this endeavor.

The Swiss company is also working with blockchain experts, government, and academia in order to address most relevant developments in blockchain with practical, standards-based solutions.
