Wirex has announced a strategic partnership with e-money institution Transact Payments. Transact Payments provides UK and European BIN sponsorship and modular payment, debit, credit and prepaid services. They are licensed European e-money institutions and principal members of both Mastercard and Visa.

They currently have live programs in 25 countries and in 16 different currencies. Their service offering is integrated with many processors including Marqeta, Global Processing Services, i2c, FIS, Paymentology and Tribe. The company has built a reputation as a reliable player in payment and card solutions. The company provides flexible UK and European BIN sponsorship and modular payment, debit, credit and prepaid services in the UK and EEA.

This collaboration is set to enhance Wirex’s card product offerings. It is hoped that the partnership will bring added convenience and streamlined payment solutions for users in the European Economic Area (EEA).

Benefits of the upgrade

The main purpose of this partnership is to enhance card issuance. In turn, Wirex is hopeful that it can rely on the upgrades and partnerships that it has made in recent times to provide a reliable payment experience. This upgrade is focused on giving users the power to handle transactions with more convenience. That is whether they’re shopping on the internet, buying things at physical stores, or making payments while moving around. Wirex is hopeful this is an example of the company trying to keep up with what users want and staying in line with the latest trends in the industry, providing an adaptable payment experience.

Pavel Matveev, CEO and Co-Founder of Wirex, said: “We approach this new and important milestone as we join hands with Transact Payments, a company recognised for innovation in card issuance. This partnership resonates with our commitment to providing the best for our users and enhancing the card experience.”

Sergio Gandolfo, CEO at Transact Payments, commented: “Wirex is a business that we have admired for some time as a leader in their sector, and we are delighted to partner with them in enhancing their service offering to EU customers. We are sure that this is just the start of our relationship and look forward to supporting them as their product offering continues to grow.”
