Wirecard, a global financial services and technology company, has revealed a new intelligent payment interface solution to expand the range of functions for point of sale (POS) terminals.
The new interface will process payments from various retailers through a single POS terminal by routing the payment transaction from the POS terminal directly to the relevant retailer acceptance point and posting the payment into the corresponding retailer’s bank account.

The maiden application systems will be available from spring 2015 for self-service bag drop facilities at airports.
The automated baggage services, enabled via the intelligent payment interface, will identify excess baggage, for which passengers may be obliged to pay depending on the respective airline’s policy.
Wirecard will support retailers and service providers in the acceptance of electronic payments from all sales channels through its technology endeavor.
