White Lodging Services, a hotel management company, has revealed a suspected breach of point of sales systems at 10 of its food and beverage outlets.
The breach occurred between 3 July 2014, and 6 February 2015, and the breached data includes names printed on customers’ credit or debit cards, card numbers, their security codes and the cards’ expiration dates.
Among the 10 hotels, eight are from Marriott and one each from Courtyard and Renaissance.
The company said that guests who did not use their credit card at these outlets and who charged to their room account at these outlets were not affected by the breach.
Following the suspected data breach, the company officials contacted appropriate federal law enforcement officials and launched a third-party forensic review
