Weebly, an e-commerce and integrated marketing company, is set to integrate Google’s mobile payment service Android Pay into the mobile checkout flow of its online stores.

The integration will allow Android users to seamlessly check out and purchase on any Weebly e-commerce sites.

The integration will help support digital small business owners with more up to date transactional technology than what most major online retailers currently provide their customers. The Payment Request API will also eliminate checkout forms and provides a mobile optimised user experience.

Weebly co-founder and chief product officer Dan Veltri said: “Online shoppers expect only the best experience when shopping, and patience dwindles when the checkout process is anything less than instant. Now with Android Pay, mobile shoppers on Weebly sites can seamlessly check out and pay in seconds.

“This integration is just another way we are leveling the playing field for our entrepreneurs, empowering their online stores with the latest technology to help them land more happy customers and, of course, more sales.”

Google global head of payments products Pali Bhat said: “We want to make it easier for businesses like Weebly to offer a simpler, faster in-app payment solution for their customers. With Android Pay, people will be able to speed through checkout with their Android phones in as few as two clicks.”
