Payments technology company Visa has said that it will open an innovation centre in Dubai, which is the firm’s regional headquarters for Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMEA).
The payment firm intends to utilize the new centre to foster collaboration among its technologists, clients and developers across CEMEA region.

The move is part of Visa’s strategy to partner with clients and ecosystem partners to drive innovative and responsible digital innovation in the payments industry.
Visa CEMEA group executive Kamran Siddiqi said: "We want to create a space where banks, mobile network operators, tech firms and others can come together with Visa and collaborate to create new products and services that accelerate the adoption of electronic payments."
"This will help accelerate the efforts to make Dubai and the UAE the first cashless Arab society by Expo 2020," Siddiqi added.
Additionally, the company is planning to launch a new quick and easy payment service called VisaCheckout in UAE to pay for goods online, on any device, in just a few clicks.
