Payment technology firm Verifone has extended its omni-channel payment as a service (PaaS) solution in the UK to support mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) and unattended devices.
The payment firm is combining PaaS products with its Verifone e355 mobile point of sale (mPOS) device and UX series of devices to enable its users to deliver personalised customer experiences.
Verifone’s e355 mPOS device offers real-time access to customer profiles, providing the ability to make a sale from anywhere; while UX series of devices enables retailers to extend the in-store experience to kiosks, vending machines and self-checkout stations.
Verifone vice president and managing director of UK and Ireland Kevin Freeguard said: “Today’s consumers want to shop and pay however and whenever they want.
“By extending the reach of our solution’s capabilities, retailers can now deliver memorable omni-channel experiences that strengthen their brand to customers not only at the checkout counter, but throughout the store—even unattended points of sale.”
Additionally, the technology provider has integrated its PaaS solution with its cloud-based Commerce Platform that enables retailers to quickly customize the POS device with third-party or proprietary apps.
