ICC Solutions, a provider of EMV test and
certification products, and Q-Card, a supplier of magnetic stripe
test cards, have inked a deal aimed at driving the migration to EMV
chip-and-PIN payment standards in the US.

Britain-based ICC Solutions will add Q-Card to
its sales, marketing and support infrastructure in the US as part
of its plans to expand operations in the country through EMV chip
cards.

David Maisey, CEO of ICC Solutions said:

“We are excited about the new agreement with
Q-Card, which will further expand our footprint in the US and help
us help our customers migrate seamlessly to EMV.”

The US is the last of the G20 nations to adopt
EMV chip-and-PIN payment standard, which is said to reduce card
fraud and provide a more secure shopping experience, the companies
said.

With the new partnership, Q-Card hopes to grow
the emerging payments technology business of the group, which
includes EMV based contact, contactless and Mobile NFC payment
solutions.
