US Bank, together with online penny auctioneer
SkoreIt!, has launched a prepaid gift card exclusively for their
website members.
The co-branded gift card, in association with
Visa, represents the first deal between a major US bank and
a company in the penny auction sector. The card can be used
everywhere that accepts Visa debit cards in the US including online
merchants, and will be serviced by US Bank to ensure it is a secure
method of payment.

said Kevin Morrison, senior vice president and head of the prepaid
division at US Bank Retail Payment Solution.
The cards can range in denominations of $25
and $500 and are available for bidding exclusively on the SkoreIt!
website. A penny auction allows participants to place a bid for a
small non-refundable fee. The final price paid for the item is
often 80-99% lower than the recommended retail price.
