UnionPay International has teamed up with Bank of China to issue the new US-themed Great Wall Global Pass travel mate credit card.

Specially designed for outbound tourists, the new offering is the first UnionPay US-themed travel mate credit card issued in the Chinese Mainland.
It can be used in more than 150 countries and regions worldwide, as well as offers exclusive cash refund privileges when purchasing at merchants accepting UnionPay credit cards across the US.
The new card features distinctive card faces, providing all the card-using privileges of the travel mate credit cards.
Holders of this card will secure a 5% cash refund with a minimum spending of CNY500 ($78.3) in a single receipt at selected merchants in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, as well as Thailand starting from now on to 29 February 2016.

By GlobalDataIn the US, this cash refund feature will include all merchants accepting the UnionPay credit cards.
Bank of China will be responsible for transferring the cash refunded to cardholders’ accounts regularly and automatically. The maximum refund amount for each card every month has been set at CNY200 ($31.3).
In addition, this credit card can also be used in conjunction with other promotions of UnionPay cards in the US.
