Universal Merchant Bank (UMB), a Ghana-based full-service financial institution, has rolled out instant issuance of Visa-branded cards that will help the lender to offer better customer service.

The bank said that customers can walk into any of its branches and get a UMB Visa Classic card, UMB Visa prepaid card or UMB Visa business cards in a matter of minutes.

UMB CEO John Awuah said that the bank’s strategic priority is to invest in areas that bring convenience and speed to its customers.

“In November last year, we introduced three additional Visa cards to cater to the unique needs of all segments of our customer base. I am very proud that we are enhancing our Visa card offering so that our customers can now receive their Visa cards within minutes at all UMB branches.

“Let me state in no uncertain terms that our utmost priority is to exceed the expectations of our customers and to enhance their experience at every UMB touch point. The introduction of instant VISA cards is just one of several initiatives that we will implement in 2017 to enhance the speed with which we deliver our services.”
