UL, a US-based provider of transaction security services, has secured MasterCard qualification for its Collis Brand Test Tool, allowing it to become the first test tool provider to simulate the Confidence Test Cards.
The Collis Brand Test Tool is now listed by MasterCard as an M/Chip Qualified Test Tool. Additionally, it is being fully aligned with test specifications for the seven major payment schemes worldwide.
The tool also provides message details of communication between the card and terminal, and also between the terminal and network.
Until now, the MasterCard interoperability tests were executed with a set of physical cards, MasterCard Interoperability Subset (Confidence) Cards.
UL transaction security service line test tools manager, Maxim Dyachenko, said UL continues to provide high quality test tools for the payment market.
"We are confident that our customers will benefit from this qualification as it will help them reduce the time to market, ease their M-TIP testing, and increase their confidence during the MasterCard implementation," Dyachenko added.
