Walmart’s UK subsidiary Asda is entering the
rewards cards market with a MasterCard credit card that will offer
cash-back for grocery and fuel shopping, and other competitive
incentives.

The Asda Money Credit Card offers 1% cash-back
on grocery shopping at Asda stores, plus 1% cash-back for Asda
fuel, as well as 0.5% cash-back for shopping in non-Asda
stores.

The reward scheme is supported by UK-based
loyalty solutions provider LaSer, which specifically caters to the
retail market.

The cash-back incentive works on a monthly
basis.

There is no annual fee, and the card comes
with a
relatively low
APR of 14.9%, as well as 0% for balance
transfers, up to 50 days interest free credit and no fees for cash
advances on Asda Travel Money.
