TSYS has teamed up with Acquirer Systems to introduce a new testing solution to streamline EMV certification process for both value-added resellers (VARs) and integrated software vendors (ISVs).

Called Astrex, the new testing solution eliminates complex integration steps with its scalability as well as minimizes overall EMV implementation costs and time needed for VARs and ISVs to certify EMV solutions.

Operating as an EMV payments simulation platform, the solution delivers VARs and ISVs with a sustainable method of validating their payments ecosystems through tests conducted from a workspace that requires no password management or secondary login information.

Also, VARs and ISVs will receive support from the TSYS Developer Services team both during and after the integration to further reduce overall EMV implementation costs.

TSYS said that developers can use a streamlined approach to integrate with TSYS testing environment, where ASTREX provides a card brand simulation tool with real-time results.

TSYS head of product for merchant services segment Craig Ludwig said: "This not only allows them to easily meet the rapidly approaching October 1 EMV liability shift date, but also affords them the opportunity to offer EMV support to their merchants in an expedited timeframe increasing the quality of their clients’ overall experience."
