Trinidad and Tobago’s Tranquillity Credit Union, along with its partner Intercommercial Bank, has launched a new Visa debit card.
Micro Software Designs provided technical support for the bank in designing the card.
Users of the new debit card will have access to instant cash, without the need to apply for US dollars while traveling. The card will also provide free insurance coverage when traveling abroad if tickets are bought using it.
Moreover, the card does not charge any interest and no local transaction fees.
Tranquillity Credit Union president Edwin Ian Reid said that the card will be linked to Global Information Access and Mobile Information Access technologies by early 2016, enabling card members to access and carry out transactions online and via mobile worldwide.
