Synchrony Financial, a consumer financial services company, has signed an agreement with Cathay Pacific Airways, to launch a new co-branded Visa credit card for US travellers in the first quarter of 2017.
Dubbed the Cathay Pacific Airways Visa credit card, the new offering will provide rewards and exclusive benefits for US travellers on flights operated by Cathay Pacific.
Additionally, eligible cardholders will also have access to special travel packages, multi-destination fares, purchases and services.
Synchrony Financial executive vice president and CEO of retail card Tom Quindlen said: “We’re pleased to further expand our credit programs in the travel industry.
“Whether they are a frequent flier or planning a special trip, Cathay Pacific travellers will enjoy having a new way to pay for their travel and the opportunity to take advantage of greater savings and benefits.”
