Swish, a Hong Kong-based mobile payments company, is set to introduce a new EMV Chip-and-PIN card reader to offer secure solutions for payment, identification and mobility, at the CARTES Secure Connexions Event.

The new compact easy-to-handle chip-and-PIN card reader is the latest Swish mobile-point-of-sale (mPOS) offering.

Featuring a display, capacitive keyboard and a micro USB for charging, the device complies with EMV Level 1 and Level 2, and PCI PTS (SRED) certifications.

Through wireless transmission, the device will be connected to the merchant’s Android- or iOS-powered smartphone or tablet to process card transactions with the ease and speed of a conventional card terminal.

The brand new chip-and-PIN device and chip-and-signature device will be offered both with integrated magnetic stripe reader, as well as a magstripe-only device.

Swish offers card readers, mobile apps, embedded payment modules, payment gateway, fraud screening, and web portals, which are all easily customisable for rapid market deployment.
