SuperCom, an Israel-based provider of digital identity solutions, has signed a memorandum of understanding with a major African mobile network operator (MNO) to develop a comprehensive mobile money solution.
SuperCom, which did disclose the name the MNO in its press release, said that the mobile wallet will be developed using its SuperPay technology.
The solution will provide a range of services including cash deposits and withdrawals, money transfer, bill payments, account top ups and in-store payments.
The business model is based on revenue sharing between the Mobile Network Operator and SuperCom.
