Stash Hotel Rewards, the loyalty program for independent hotels, has partnered with consumer financial services company Synchrony Financial to introduce the Stash Hotel Rewards Visa Card.

Contrary to other cards that provide additional points only at a particular chain of hotels, the new offering awards cardholders 2X points on hotels outside the Stash network.
The card also offers cardholders 2X points on gas and dining, 3X points at Stash Partner Hotels, and 1X points on all other purchases.
Cardholders can redeem for any room with no blackout dates, and will earn 10% back on points at redemption with no cap. The card will be chip-enabled and will not charge any foreign transaction fees.
Synchrony Financial executive vice president and CEO of retail card Tom Quindlen said: "Until now, carrying a hotel loyalty credit card meant you were committing to a single hotel brand. The Stash Visa Card changes all that. Now you can stay at any hotel and earn double Stash points."
