The agreement will allow SSS members to settle their contributions and loan amortizations through G-XChange’s free mobile remittance app, GCash, offered exclusively to Globe and TM Network subscribers.
SSS members will have to go through a one-time registration process for availing the free of charge transaction facilities apart from loading their GCash accounts with credits to cover payments for contributions and loans.
SSS vice president for member services division Mario Sibucao said: "The payment facility will be opened to household employers, voluntary members, and self-employed individuals including farmers, fishermen and non-working spouses.
"We are encouraging our members to register in this new payment facility once rolled out. It promises prompt remittance of their contributions and loan amortizations at their convenience."
