Singapore Airlines has launched a new business credit card for SMEs in partnership with American Express.

The new offering is dubbed American Express Singapore Airlines Business Credit Card. It is designed to help the SMEs to manage their businesses, access credit as well as avail travel benefits.

Singapore Airlines and American Express launched the business card after a joint survey found that 74% of SME businesses are expecting to grow their businesses in the following one year.

American Express senior vice-president for global commercial services for Asia Pacific Geoff Begg said: “Our survey shows that Singapore SMEs are optimistic about growth, but cash flow and overseas expansion are ever-present concerns.

“American Express and Singapore Airlines are bringing the first SME business travel card to give them access to credit terms, more savings, and a suite of travel benefits – to support their ambitions and help them overcome these challenges.”

The new business credit card holders can earn up to 8.5 HighFlyer points for every S$1 spent on eligible Singapore Airlines Group flights. They can also earn 1.8 HighFlyer points per S$1 on other eligible spending. These points can be redeemed during future travels.
