Shoreline, a Gemalto company and provider of card personalization solutions, has introduced a full service EMV instant issuance of banking cards for community banks and credit unions in the US.
The new solution is aimed at upgrading or installing an EMV-compatible instant issuance program that includes card personalization, procurement, onsite printing and customer support services. It will provide EMV cards instantly to customers, enabling financial institutions to significantly increase card activation rates, usage as well as customer acquisition and retention.
In addition, the on-the-spot EMV card issuance will also decrease operational costs and increase time-consuming logistical and fulfillment processes.
The offering will enable credit unions and community banks to enhance in-branch traffic and develop a preferred relationship with their customers. It will also allow banks to promote and share new services and offers directly to customers.
A study by Aite Group found that in-branch installations will beef up in 2015, while instant card issuance will become a mainstream service by 2018.
Shoreline business development director Vadim Kagan said: "Our team of experts assist our customers through every step from the actual deployment and installation process to continued support of day-to-day services.
