Senegal-based mobile network operator Free has teamed up with Comviva to enhance its mobile money service ‘Free Money’.

The telecom company has deployed Comviva’s mobiquity Money platform on Free Money to enhance its digital financial service and augment its customer’s digital payments experience.

Comviva said that the deployment will bring global mobile money best practices to users of Free Money in Senegal.

mobiquity Money is said to one of the largest mobile money platforms with more than 60 deployments in over 45 nations.

Free Money, which was launched in 2014, delivers a range of digital financial services including money transfer, bill payment, merchant payment, and mobile credit recharge.

It is claimed that the transition to the new mobiquity Money platform has boosted Free Money’s system capacity and increased transaction security.
