Seamless, the mobile commerce software company, has made its mobile payment solution SEQR available at restaurants across Sweden.
SEQR will enable consumers to make purchases by scanning the unique QR-code displayed at checkout and enter their personal PIN-code.
The payment solution is also being integrated with the existing McDonald’s app, allowing users to pay using SEQR and being automatically directed to Appstore/Google Play if the user has not downloaded SEQR already.
In addition to providing Swedish consumers the ability to make mobile payments in stores and online, SEQR allows users to transfer money (P2P), save receipts digitally, connect loyalty programs, pay for parking and redeem offers through digital coupons.
The rollout follows recent news that the merchant organisation EMAB, comprised of about 430 retail chains across Sweden, has signed an agreement with Seamless to launch the mobile wallet SEQR.
