Swedish m-commerce software firm Seamless has introduced its mobile payment service SEQR in the US.

The US has become the eleventh country where the service is currently available. Earlier this year, the company launched this service in five additional European countries.

The launch of SEQR in the US was driven by Daniel Bessmert, who was responsible for building up SEQR’s US organization and establishing strategic, long-term relationships with partners and retailers.

SEQR will enable consumers to make all types of payments whether online or within the physical world, all in one solution. It also enables consumers to transfer money, connect loyalty programs and redeem offers through digital coupons.

For retailers, the service serves as a low cost and secure alternative to payments offered by traditional card companies.

Seamless CEO Peter Fredell said: "We have an expansive growth strategy and the U.S. market is a key puzzle piece with over 300 million consumers, which strengthens our overall market position."
