US-based Santander Bank has rolled out a new credit card, Santander Bravo MasterCard, which has been designed to offer customers with several credit card reward programmes.

Bravo is the first credit card launched in the US under the Santander brand, claims the company.

Under the reward programmes, cardholders can earn triple rewards points for every dollar spent at gas stations, supermarkets and in restaurants. For every quarter, cardholders can collect up to 15,000 points, following which they receive one point per dollar spent.

The points earned can be exchanged for cash, airline tickets or merchants gift cards. Unlike other reward programmes, where unused points get expired, the Bravo card-earned points do not expire.

Santander credit cards head, Euan Campbell, said this card gives consumers exactly what they want: more points, more convenience and more options.

"We’re extremely proud of Bravo. As one of the most generous rewards programs in the industry, as well as being one of the easiest to understand, it’s exactly the kind of value we want to deliver to our customers," Campbell added.
