Patrick Crosson, vice president of strategic accounts with Roam, said: "We’ve seen an increasing demand from the direct selling industry as companies within this diverse market begin to see the value that a secure, customised mobile point of sale solution can bring to their business.

"Southwestern Advantage is proving to be a technology leader in this space and is a perfect example of a direct selling organisation that’s realising an immediate return on investment from leveraging our mobile commerce platform."

The ability to accept card payments via mPOS means the company can cut down on costs from card-not-present transaction fees and post-sale credit card refusals and chargebacks.

Dan Moore, president of Southwestern Advantage, said: "Our customer’s experience and data security is of the utmost importance."
