Revel Systems, a provider of mobile PoS for the iPad and iPhone
has announced plans to team up with Best Buy-owned tech support
firm Geek Squad to roll out its product in the US.
Geek Squad, will install Revel’s cloud-based mobile PoS systems
at restaurants and retail outlets across the country.

Revel System’s proposition is a PoS terminal designed
specifically for restaurants. It allows employees to take orders
and process payments using an iPad.
CEO of Revel Systems Lisa Falzone said that installing Revel
Systems’ POS system takes a few hours, which, combined with “the
expertise and ubiquity of Geek Squad Agents will make it easier
than ever for customers to adopt our system, which relies on
servers hosted in the cloud.”
Meanwhile, Google Wallet co-founding engineer
Rob von Behren has joined another mobile POS provider – Square, the
latest in a number of moves that suggest the mobile POS market is
gearing up for significant development.
