Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has announced to launch a new app that provides increasing security of mobile payments for Canadians.
Operating as part of RBC Wallet, the new app for the Android M Developer Preview will feature increased security and accelerated sign in and also delivers a superior and secure mobile experience for clients.

This new app will feature benefits such as usage of the same PIN that locks the phone to access RBC Wallet, eliminates having to remember multiple passwords and speeds up the payment process.
It will also employ a timeout security mechanism and offers clients the choice to complement their PIN with their fingerprint to access RBC Wallet and make mobile payments.
RBC executive vice-president digital payments and cards Linda Mantia said: "This new feature heightens security while providing an exceptional client experience with a simpler and quicker process for authentication and payment."
