Mitek has announced that its Mobile Fill identity capture solution has been selected by a provider of private label store branded credit cards to accelerate their credit card application approval process.

The credit card provider will incorporate the identity capture solution into its tablet app, allowing employees to help customers make credit cards application in-store.

The solution will enable customers to complete an application form by handing over their driver’s license to a store employee, who will take a photo of it with the tablet camera, Mitek claims.

In addition to speeding up credit card application approval process by 50%, Mobile Fill also phases out the need for back-office data entry created by paper applications, mitigates falsified applications, as well as enhances security by removing paper documentation with personally identifiable information.

Mitek president and CEO James DeBello said: "According to CRM Trends, for some retailers as much as 35% – 42% of sales are on a private label credit card. This is why two of the top private label card issuers have now selected Mobile Fill to streamline the credit card application process for their customers."
