Posera, a Canadian provider of software solutions for the hospitality industry, has collaborated with French payment solution provider Ingenico to introduce its pay-at-the-table (PATT) solution SecureTablePay in the US.
Under the partnership, Posera will integrate its SecureTablePay on Ingenico’ wireless smart terminals iWL250 to increase convenience as well as efficiency for the restaurant and the server.
The integration will allow the server to spend more time on the floor with the customer as well as minimise the steps and time it takes to close a check.
High end security such as acceptance of EMV chip cards, Apple Pay and Android Pay, and point-to-point encryption (P2PE) and tokenization, and ensuring PCI compliance are added. Customers can use their chip cards, with either a PIN or signature, to make payment at the terminals.
Ingenico Group vice president of sales North America Howard Finch said: “There are over half a million restaurants in the US who have or will be adopting EMV standards over the next few years, and will need the ability to accept payments at the point of service.
“By combining the Posera’s solution with our wireless smart terminals, SecureTablePay enables restaurant payments that provide greater security and better customer service to American restaurants and their patrons.”
