North American merchant services provider Pivotal Payments has rolled out its proprietary payment gateway and global acquiring platform, GlobalOne, in the European Union.
Pivotal Payments said that it will provide real-time connectivity to over 130 new payment networks and banks, offering access to 60 foreign currencies as well as local European payment schemes such as iDeal, Giropay and SOFORT.

As part of the expansion, the merchants signed onto the GlobalOne platform will be able to expand internationally to capture more sales from growing markets and improve operational efficiencies.
The e-commerce solution has been designed to provide businesses in a card to expand their global reach, maximise profits and offer their clients a better shopping experience.
According to Pivotal Payments, the benefits of the platform will include: interchange optimisation to reduce cross-border fees; smart transaction routing; auto account updater; full-featured subscription and recurring billing solutions; and Secure Card module.
