Fintech company Prepaid Financial Services (PFS) has partnered with Garmin Pay to enable contactless payments using its cards in the UK.
As part of the alliance, Garmin smartwatch devices will support the cards issued and managed by PFS, eliminating the need to carry cash, physical card or mobile phones for payment.

PFS’ portfolio includes a wide variety of cards, including consumer, virtual, multi-currency, instant issue and gift/incentive cards. The fintech also offers e-vouchers.

Garmin Pay is a contactless payment solution enabled through watches. It supports major credit and debit cards, including Visa and MasterCard.

The payment service uses watch-specific card numbers and transaction codes for all purchases. Card number is not stored on the watch, on the company’s servers or passed to merchants during transaction.
