UK-based retail IT specialist PCMS has joined hands with technology providers Box Solutions, Logic Group and Miura Systems to launch an integrated tablet, mobile point of sale software and payment device at the retail trade show, NRF, in January 2015.
The device will blend a Cielo tablet with Logic Group’s payment application and Miura’s chip and pin device, integrated to PCMS’ VISION BeanStore mobile point of sale software.

The new technology will help retailers to improve shopping experience for customers and increase up-selling opportunities enabling management of orders and stock queries and payments via a mobile phone.
PCMS product officer for global solutions Martyn Osborne said: "While mobile has been around for some time, having a complete device with integrated scanning and chip & PIN payment in a small tablet form factor will bring operational improvements to the way mobile can be used in store."
