Austria-based prepaid payment provider Paysafecard group, a member of Skrill Group, has launched its services in Peru and Uruguay, as part of its ongoing expansion into new markets.

The company said it has been operating in the Latin American countries of Mexico and Argentina since 2010 and 2009, respectively, and has now rolled out its services in Peru and Uruguay, as both countries boast huge potential for prepaid solutions.

Already secured more than 3,500 sales outlets at the time of launch, the company expects the number to increase to 10,000 over the coming months.

Paysafecard Wertkarten CEO Udo Müller said, "As Latin American countries, Peru and Uruguay offer both optimal conditions and enormous potential for our product."

"Our ambitious expansion plans will follow the opening up of these two countries with further new markets, and will soon see us present across the breadth of Latin America," Müller added.

Paysafecard manages its operations in 39 nations and its products are available at more than 450,000 sales outlets globally.
