Payroc WorldAccess, a firm that specialises in merchant acquisition and payment technology, has agreed to acquire payment orchestrator BlueSnap.
Financial specifics of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition aims to expand Payroc’s service offerings by incorporating BlueSnap’s global and enterprise capabilities.
It is expected to result in a combined entity providing global card acquisition and e-Banking processing services to merchants, independent software vendors (ISVs), and technology partners.
Payroc said the integration will facilitate the acceptance of various payment methods, including card-not-present transactions and electronic checks, across 47 countries, supporting over 100 currencies and more than 36 local payment methods through a single API.
BlueSnap’s tools for intelligent routing and fraud prevention are expected to improve authorisation rates and reduce costs associated with cross-border transactions.
