Google has been accused of underhand tactics
by PayPal as allegations of stealing “trade secrets” and poaching
employees are unveiled on the very day the search giant launches
its much -anticipated m-payments platform.
In a blog post, PayPay’s senior director of
communications Amanda Pires said: “Spending time in courtrooms is
generally not our thing… But sometimes the behaviours of people and
competitors make legal action the only meaningful way for a company

“We treat PayPal’s “secrets” seriously, and
take it personally when someone else doesn’t. So we made a decision
today. We filed a lawsuit against Google and two former colleagues
who now work there, Osama Bedier and Stephanie Tilenius.”
Bedier is accused of having “misappropriated
PayPal trade secrets by disclosing them within Google and to major
retailers.”
Tilenius was at eBay from 2001 to October 2009
and served as a consultant to the company until March 2010.
eBay has accused Tilenius of breaching her
contract by poaching Bedier for Google.
