PayPal has added six new payment options to its 11-year-old invoicing tool to help merchants bill more efficiently and get paid faster.

The new invoicing service will offer more templates for billing quantity, hours, or amount only, as well as allow small business customers to easily copy other parties when an invoice is sent, according to PayPal.

The upgraded solution will also include a partial payments feature, which allows invoice receivers to make incremental payments as well as allow both parties to view the unpaid balance.

With partial payments, customer can pay a deposit upfront and pay the remainder later. An invoice will have a partially paid status until it’s been completely paid.

Other invoice template options include the ability to record cash or check payments, to share invoice links to customers directly, and to save a PDF of the invoice for records.

The company claims that the new features will allow businesses to customize invoice templates based on business needs, save customer and item details, send invoices to a group of people as well as international customers, attach files, view a detailed history of your invoice and also view all unpaid or overdue invoices.
